Dennis "Coach D" Connor is a performance coach, educator, and industry veteran with over two decades of experience developing athletes across all levels of sport. Holding both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Health and Human Performance/Kinesiology, he has worked with more than 100 professional athletes while helping thousands of youth, collegiate, and general population clients improve performance, health, and resilience.
Coach D specializes in strength and speed development integrated with endurance performance, applying evidence-based principles alongside real-world coaching experience. His work emphasizes building complete athletes through structured programming, movement efficiency, and long-term athletic development models.
As the founder of Athletic Zone and the ATHLZ Performance Lab, he has created systems used to assess and train athletes through measurable performance pillars including engine capacity, fatigue tolerance, movement efficiency, and recovery control. His approach blends scientific rigor, practical coaching, and leadership development to prepare athletes and coaches for sustainable success.
Dennis is passionate about mentoring the next generation of coaches and helping professionals bridge the gap between theory and application through education, hands-on learning, and high-performance standards.
